Course Description: This training
is required for work on projects involving renovation, repair, or
painting (RRP) in residential facilities built before 1978 and in
which lead paint exists. Beginning April 22, 2010, federal
regulations required that contractors working on homes, schools and
daycare facilities built prior to 1978 attend an 8-hour EPA
Renovation, Repair, and Painting course and become certified to
perform the work. This course will teach indoor environmental
contractors, painters, plumbers, electricians and other contractors
how to notify clients, test paint, use lead-safe work practices and
maintain required records.
Course attendees will receive a
certificate of attendance from the National Center for Healthy
Housing (NCHH).
