The courses prepare
you for the AmIAQ certification. Each course
can also be taken for educational and certificate of completion only.
Council certification is not required and all attendees will receive a
“Certificate of Completion” from IAQA.
IAQA Certified Microbial Remediator (CMR)
The IAQA offers the AMIAQ-Council certified Microbial Remediator for
property managers, owners, general contractors, insurance adjusters,
public health, remediators and associated trades whose work demands a
basic understanding of the issues related to microbial remediation
projects in indoor environments.
To ensure microbial remediation is conducted in accordance with industry
standards and guidelines while applying health, safety and other
regulations to the job site operations. This certification serves as a
means to document core skills and knowledge base in a manner that can be
relied upon by individuals and organizations seeking their services as
employees or advisors for the execution of microbial remediation
projects. The certification application process includes the review,
verification and approval of examination results, credentials, education
and experience by an independent certification board.
IAQA Certified Microbial Supervisor (CMRS)
The IAQA offers the Council-certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor.
This designation is for individuals who supervise microbial remediation
projects to meet the specifications set forth in proposals and
submittals including: setting up the containment; overseeing labor,
developing and implementing site specific operations and emergency
procedures; managing equipment and materials on site; managing equipment
and materials on-site; managing cleaning, and proper removal and
disposal of affected materials; remediating the site according to
specifications; and preparing documentation during remediation. This
certification serves as a means to document core skills and knowledge
base in a manner that can be relied upon by individuals and
organizations seeking their services as employees, supervisors or
advisors for the direction, management and execution of microbial
remediation projects. The certification application process includes the
review, verification and approval of examination results, credentials,
education and experience by an independent certification board.
Course attendees who
meet experience and education pre-qualifications may take the American
Indoor Air Quality Council (AMIAQC) Certified Mold Remediator (CMR)
examination at the conclusion of the course.
Course registration fees do
NOT include the CMR exam fee. You must pre-pay and pre-apply for the CMR
exam directly with AMIAQC 14 days in advance of the test date (less
notice may be acceptable on a case by case basis). For experience and
